• What they are: the discs in your vehicle's brake system. They attach to its wheel hubs via ribs.

• What to do when you see such symptoms: do a brake rotor inspection. Replace any problematic ones. Be sure to swap them out in pairs, too; it'll help keep your ride continue to brake properly.
